Testimonials

"I have now spent 3 trips under Andrews guidance I have found him to be very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Andrews ability to find a clear stream on even the saddest of days is a testament to his knowledge of the local area along with this I have found him to be so very friendly and helpful that you can't help but have a great days fishing".  Glen Knight, Victoria, Australia

"I have been at this fly fishing caper since 1974 and in March 2015 enjoyed the best week's fly fishing of my life, thanks in no small part to Andrew Watt. Andrew's local knowledge put us onto some solid fish and his expertise and patience as a guide resulted in me grassing three five pound rainbows, back to back, in little more than an hour. Sensational fishing and a first class guide". Mike Archer, NSW, Australia

"If you are going to the North Island and want to do some amazing fishing I thoroughly recommend this area just two hours from Wellington.  Andrew Watt is an amazing guide and I would love to fish with him again".  Dawn Pearce, Western Australia

"Coming from the US, I had great expectations for the day, given all that I had heard about fishing in NZ. Also, being 68 and not overly fit, I had asked Andrew to plan accordingly. He put us on perfect water, and the day was even better than expected. The rainbows and browns were sturdy and aggressive, and some certainly qualified by my standards as trophy fish. Andrew is Kiwi through and through, an accomplished guide, and now a good friend. When I next visit the North Island, Andrew will the first I call to plan more fishing adventures in this wonderful country." Gene Bratt, USA.

"Andrew has guided me a number of times in the last few years. I have found Andrew to be very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Every time I have fished with Andrew I have had a great time as well as learnt something new. His ability to spot trout never ceases to amaze me."  Adam Herrick, New Zealand

"Thanks Andrew for the great fishing this past five years. I never had a fishless day when out with you, always taking me to a new location and finding the right spot to suit my skill level. Your knowledge of the rivers in North Island is very apparent as we always ended up fishing the stretch of river best sheltered despite any wind. Apart from the quality fishing I could not have asked for better company, always encouraging even when I would make a mess of an opportunity you created. The service you supply in collection, tackle supply and lunch is testament to your commitment to customer satisfaction. I look forward to my next visit and hope we encounter more of those big back country fish". William Quaile, Ireland.
