Freshwater fishing methods
OTF trout fly
||The OTF trout fly is a suspended nymph pattern
that works best when fishing still waters or on quiet river glides.
It is particularly effective on warm summer and early autumn evenings.

||It is usually fished so that it floats just below
the surface film (the parachute hackle keeps it suspended just subsurface).
Often trout will take these flies very gently and so either maintain
contact with the fly and stike if a gentle pull is detected or watch
for any movement in the raised hackles that float above the surface.
