Waimea River Park Trout Fishing

Waimea Take a Kid Fishing
The Waimea River Park Fishing Ponds have been developed by Fish and Game with the aim of introduing young anglers to the koys of fishing in a natural setting. While the three small lakes are to be very well stocked, the catching of the fish will still require some skill. Consequently, every young angler will be given tuition and help while fishing on a one to one basis.

Fish type Mostly rainbow trout though some salmon may be released at certain times.

Off River road near the Appleby Bridge on the Motueka Road (SH60) outside Neslon.
