Piwakawaka Cottage, built in 2025, offers clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation close to a number of rivers and waters in the Southland region. It is has a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable warm dining room and lounge.

Piwakawaka is the Maori name for a fantail, one of New Zealand's most common and friendly birds. It won the Forest and Bird of the year competition in 2006.

Piwakawaka Cottage is an ideal base for single anglers or small groups or couples to explore the wide range of fishing options in the Southland region. Located on a small quiet lifestyle block, close to the Southland Transverse Cycle Trail.
