Introduction

When planning a  fishing trip one very important consideration is where to stay. It is always best to stay near the waters you wish to fish - there is nothing better than to be able to pick up your rod and walk down to a lake or river and cast a line.

On our site we have chosen what we consider to be the best accommodation for anglers in each area. We also try to find places to suit all budgets from luxury fishing lodges down to cabins and huts. But what they all have in common is that they are great places to stay for anglers.

There is an accommodation section on our site for each region which will describe it as well as showing the price range and the number of beds and number it can accommodate.

   Price

We use 4 symbols for price each represented by the number of $ signs as follows:

$$$$ refers to top end luxury fishing lodges or accommodation.
These lodges usually have guides available, provide all meals, have a bar and a perfect position for anglers as they will be located near good fishing and generally in reach of a number of top waters.
As the lodges are used to anglers they can also arrange for helicopters, charter boats etc.
Almost always rated as 5 star

$$$ is for high end accommodation that will range from a luxury homes, hotels to lodges.
All facilities are supplied and are of a high quality and are generally rated 4+ or 5 star

$$ refers to comfortable accommodation where all bedding is provided but usually will be self catering.
This category includes motels, hotels, holiday parks and Bed and Breakfasts.
Usually rated as 3 - 4 star

$ is for basic level accommodation such as camping ground, cabin or hut.
The accommodation is basic usually requiring you to supply most things including linen.
Generally it is remote and some distances from shops, cafes and restaurants. It will be close to good fishing however. Generally rated 1 or 2 star accommodation.
