Waipahi River

This small stream boasts excellent brown trout stocks in over 35 km of fishable water. The tannin-stained water means this is blind fishing water except when trout are rising.

Fish type Excellent stock of brown trout averaging around 1kg.
Situation The Waipahi rises in swampy country west of Clinton and flows north to join the Pomahaka River south of Conical Hill.
